This period building had no communal fire alarm installed and the resident’s flats had LD3 old smoke detection connected to an obsolete Warden Call. We had to be inventive in the trunking to enable the Fire Alarm installation to meet regulations.

• Upgrade Warden Call System
• LD1 resident Fire detection

This project was to upgrade all the residents’ Fire/CO detection to LD1 standard and upgrade the warden call to the Tynetec XT2 digital ready system, enabling the individual residents’ flats to have voice connectivity to an offsite Alarm Receiving Centre. The development comprises of 5 blocks, all with Communal Part 1 fire alarms which were also connected to the new Tynetec XT2 system.

We had to be very inventive on how we cabled and trunked this building, from basement to 2nd floor. The fire alarm was installed from scratch. The LD1 system also incorporated the new Ei1000g gateways which the customer is now rolling out on all future projects with us.

This is a house of multiple occupation split into 2 flats, each with communal areas and residents’ flats. We needed to start from scratch installing the new Tynetec XT2 Emergency call system and the LD1 fire/CO; the LD1 system also incorporated the new Ei1000g gateways which the customer is now rolling out on all future projects with us.

This is a project of 26 developments of various shapes and sizes all with different challenges, all requiring the Tynetec XT2 Emergency Call System to be installed and FULLY DIGITAL to their own Alarm Receiving Centre. Each Development has had the smoke detection upgraded in every resident’s property and all developments have the Digital Noticeboards. Ten developments completed, with 16 to start from March 2021.
